Ms Hussain is an Associate with the firm. She represents victims of discrimination and harassment, in employment, housing and education. Ms Hussain is involved in the firm's class action practice as well.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms Hussain worked as a volunteer for the Legal Aid Society, representing clients in employment and health law claims. She spent over a year as an attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union, in New York, working on criminal law issues, and health disparities affecting minorities. Prior to that, she spent two years as an associate at a California firm, representing plaintiffs in toxic tort claims. As a Law Clerk at Public Advocates, in San Francisco, Ms Hussain was involved in impact litigation.
Ms Hussain holds a BS in International Economics from Georgetown University, which was awarded magna cum laude in 2002. She received her JD from UCLA Law School in 2006, where she was a member of the Foreign Affairs Law Journal and the Near East Law Journal. She holds a Proficiency Certificate from Georgetown University in Arabic, and is conversant Urdu and Hindi.
